Assistant Program Manager

Tiber Creek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Program Manager (APM) for a contingent on-site position on our team. The ideal candidate must possess proven experience in managing Information Technology operations and Government contracts for the Department of Defense (DoD). The candidate must also have written and verbal communication skills to Senior Ranking Government officials.

Location:On-Site / Fort Rucker, Alabama
Education:B.S. or B.A. Degree in Information Technology Field.
Certifications:Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) equivalent or higher (required); DoDD 8570.01 IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) (desired).
Experience:Minimum 7 years managing Information Technology operations in a DoD environment.
Clearance:DOD Secret Clearance.
Related Experience Should Include:
  • Managing Information Technology operations in a DoD environment.
  • Solid experience providing project or program management support, including scheduling, coordinating deliverables, and tracking performance.
  • Proven ability to step into a leadership role in the absence of the PM, directly coordinating with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff, ensuring compliance with Information Technology security and technical requirements.
  • Solid history of direct communication with Senior Ranking Government Officials.
  • Experience delivering process improvements through Quality Control Plans.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Information Technology security policies, hardware, software, and communications technology relevant to DoD operations.
  • Familiarity with fast-paced, on-site Army mission support environments.
Job Duties:
  • APM shall provide all necessary personnel, administrative, financial, and managerial resources required to support this contract.
  • Replace, within a minimum of fifteen (15) business days, any contract personnel found to be unqualified, resign, or otherwise leave the current contract.
  • Provide Program Management and administrative support to ensure the requirements of the contract are met and to ensure the Contractor adequately controls and supervises all personnel who perform services under this contract.
  • In the absence of the Program Manager, the APM shall be the main point of contract for this contract and must have the ability to resolve issues in direct coordination with the COR.
  • Communicate project needs, coordinate project efforts, provide process improvements through the Quality Control Plan, and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Ensure employees under this contract are evaluated and demonstrate subject matter expertise in various Information Technology Security policies, hardware, software, and communication technologies.
Minimum Qualifiers:
  • Candidates must have current DoD Secret clearance.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) equivalent or higher (required); DoDD 8570.01 IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) (desired).
  • Must be local to Fort Rucker, AL
  • Unable to work 3rd party candidates or agencies
