Tiber Creek Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer for telework or on site in Fairfax VA. This is a challenging hands-on technical opportunity for a Test Engineer to join a high performing team of professionals developing and testing our software solutions. Your background should include working closely with other members of a technical development team, implementing automated and manual software testing methods, as well as experience testing C#, .Net Framework applications. Your role within our software development teams includes testing as well as adherence to defined quality assurance processes using the CMMI Model Framework. You will conduct and improve verification activities including manual and automated testing; release management; audits and reviews and validation. The successful candidate will enjoy multi-tasking and coordinating efforts on multiple projects and have a solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Education:AA/BA/BS
Experience:5+ years testing C#, .Net Framework Applications.
Clearance:DoD Secret Clearance is required, due to military contract requirements.
Related Experience Should Include:
  • Performing QA/Test Engineer duties with a solid understanding of the SDLC and defect lifecycle.
  • Black Box, Functional Test, Smoke Test, System End to End, and Regression Testing on new and existing functionality (designing and developing regression test cases/test scenarios).
  • Managing and directing system test activities, creating test cases, test scenarios, requirement traceability matrix.
  • Agile development in a Microsoft software engineering environment and experience testing C#, .Net Framework Applications.
  • SQL Server backend query experience.
  • Developing scenario-based test cases for Functional, Regression, and Automation testing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data-related and software issues.
  • Ability to work multiple projects and test multiple releases.
  • Data-driven testing methodologies.
  • Testing for accessibility in accordance with Section 508 standards (Usability and Compliance).
  • Creating standard operating procedures and metrics based on best practices for a QA team.
Job Duties:
  • Partner with Agile Release Team to plan for new functionality, resolve defects, and incorporate error injection test methodologies.
  • Provide input into improving the Automation test framework for the organization.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and identify automated test needs, scenarios, and test metrics.
  • Engineer, execute, troubleshoot, monitor and report results of automated test scenarios.
  • Develop and execute testing tasks and plans that meet timelines and release requirements.
  • Develop and execute test scripts and test cases; test plans, test reports, root-cause analysis, and security certification compliance testing.
  • Functional testing, Smoke testing, Regression testing, high availability testing, end user testing.
  • Ensure configuration and release management of testing data, documentation, and environments.
Minimum Qualifiers:
  • Candidates must have current DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Unable to work with 3rd party candidates or agencies.
