Tiber Creek Consulting Inc. is looking for a Recruiting and Human Resources (HR) Assistant whose “people” skills, attention to detail and professionalism will make you a valued member of the team as you assist Recruiting and HR from start to finish. You’ll help us achieve staffing objectives by evaluating candidates’ qualifications and supporting overall HR policy and practice. You will play an important role in supporting employment operations by onboarding new employees, reviewing resumes and candidate applications, corresponding with / telephoning candidates, coordinating background checks and maintaining candidate information, conducting phone screens and facilitating / coordinating technical interviews.

You must have outstanding organizational skills, enjoy speaking with candidates and co-workers, excel at written and verbal communication, and have a strong desire to learn about our positions and the skills and experience needed to join our Software Solutions teams. Traits that will differentiate a successful candidate include relevant experience in a self-motivated learner who readily takes on tasks and demonstrates a desire to work in the field of Human Resources. Education:BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:Minimum 2 years' related work experience. An understanding of skills, certifications, and education related to information technology / software careers is a plus.
Clearance:You must be clearable for a DoD Secret Clearance. Active clearance is NOT required to start.
Related Experience Should Include:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, administrative, and organization skills.
  • Judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of skills, certifications, and degrees related to information technology / software careers is a plus.
  • Resume screening and evaluation of skills matching position description is a plus.
  • Interviewing and / or performing recruiting phone screens is a plus.
  • Status tracking and reporting.
  • Familiar with Employment and Anti-discrimination Law.
Job Duties:
  • Work with recruiting director to evaluate and respond to all applicants, routing or rejecting resumes.
  • Evaluate resumes and applications for consistent set of qualifications and work history. Verify applicants' qualifications through email and phone screen, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Contribute to recruiting, human resources, and organization’s efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain applicant tracking by entering various data from resume, application, phone and email communication.
  • Understanding of skills and experience in position descriptions to facilitate candidate selection.
  • Understanding of our organization’s mission, roles, positions, opportunities, and benefits in order to seek most qualified candidates and answer candidate questions.
  • Complete phone screen and interview arrangements by contacting applicants and interviewers, scheduling, distributing background materials, and following up to gather all feedback post interview.
  • Conduct on-boarding and monitor new employee experience.
  • Obtain and secure background check data. Maintain candidate files and protect operations by keeping personnel data confidential.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local requirements by following policies and procedures.
  • Participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.
