Microsoft Enterprise Engineer

Tiber Creek Consulting, Inc. is seeking candidates highly qualified and experienced with Microsoft Servers (Active Directory) and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in the Charlotte / Winston-Salem / Greensboro area to join our IT Team. Applicants should have a minimum of 5+ years’ related work experience.  Superior performance in this position provides growth potential in technical and/or project leadership roles, engineering, IT architecture, and security as well as increasingly complex network and systems engineering duties. Daily travel to-and-from customer site is required.  Occasional overnight trips within the Carolinas may be needed.

You will provide project and support services to our clients throughout your designated region and occasionally throughout North and South Carolina.  This includes problem tracking, diagnosis, replication, resolution, escalation, and system/application support documentation development. Ability to work independently and excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. This technical position involves relaying complex information to customers, vendors, other employees, etc. in a way that anyone can easily understand and be comfortable with, whether technical or non-technical.

Related Experience
Should Include:
  • 5+ years’ working with Microsoft Servers (Active Directory)
  • 2+ years’ working with Microsoft SCCM 2012 or newer
  • Network engineering experience with Microsoft Windows server platforms; proficiency with managing, configuring, and resolving issues with core Windows Server roles
  • PowerShell (or other applicable scripting languages). Candidates preferred to have strong abilities to solve problems using scripting tools
  • Microsoft Failover Clustering experience, with Hyper-V in a multi-node clustered environment
  • VMware vSphere in a multi-node clustered environment
  • iSCSI SAN experience. Specific brand interest is primarily Dell Compellent and/or EMC
  • Enterprise wireless configuration, deployment, and management
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with diagnosis of network problems (specifically OSI layers 2 and up)
Job Duties:
  • Perform project deployments for customers
  • Provide on-site services as assigned for daily support services to customers

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Travel throughout North Carolina will be required on a daily basis and some overnight travel will be required
  • Successful applicant will be based out of home office, using internal schedule for daily travel assignments
